  • Natural gas, P 4.6 MPa abs

The products recovered:

  • Dry stripped gas 2.97 bln std. m3/year, corresponds to OST 51.40-93
  • Technical propane-butane 57.8 ths.t/year, corresponds to GOST R 52087-2003
  • Natural stable gas 19.2 ths.t/year, corresponds to TU 39-1340-89

Propane-butane recovery units No. 3 (3 and 4 lines) are intended for operation at Unitary Subsidiary Enterprise Shurtanneftegaz for the purpose of processing of natural gas of Shurtansky Group fields at modern technical level with yield of market products, highly required by the consumer market (both inside the country and abroad): technical propane-butane and natural stable gas. Besides, dry stripped gas (methane-ethane fraction), sent after the booster to booster compresser staion in main pipeline is also a market product.

For processing of natural gas with the composition suggested (with hydrocarbons content С3+В not less than 100 g/m3) optimal method of low-temerature cooling with partial condensation of original gas, further adiabatic expansion of gas part within the whole available pressure range and with splitting of isolated feedstock in rectification columns has been applied.
External source of cold is not used. The major source of cold is effect of adiabatic expansion in turbo-expander, as well as Joule-Tompson effect. Heat is supplied with thermal fluid, circulating in a closed circuit, which is heated in the fired furnace.
